Security
Parsley Software takes data security and privacy very seriously, and we recognize that our security measures and practices are important to you. While we cannot expose too much detail around our practices, as it can empower the very people we are protecting ourselves against, we can provide general information to give you confidence in how we secure the data you entrust to us.
Data Center Security
Our cloud services are handled by one of the largest and most widely used cloud service providers. Their data centers manage physical security 24/7 with biometric scanners and video and technology monitoring.
Our cloud service provider also backs up our your data every 24 hours, takes it off site, and maintains these backups for at least 30 days, to ensure that we can recover in case of a disaster (Although this is something that has not happened in all our years of operation.
Protection from Data Corruption or Loss
Our services have multiple features in place to protect from data corruption or loss:
– User accounts are segregated from each other through multiple layers of logic which prevent corruption and overlap
– Account data is mirrored and regularly backed up off site
– We have DDOS mitigation in place, as well as data encryption, both in transit and at rest.
Safeguarding your Account
While we have very high levels of security on our system – the weak spot will always be your login credentials. Please make sure to use strong passwords, and avoid using your Parsley password on other systems that you use. If those other systems are breached, the hackers might have access to that password and use it to gain access to your Parsley account.
Also please make sure that your computers and mobile devices are password protected, and that they turn off or go into screensaver mode whenever you’re not around.
These two measures will go a long way towards ensuring your data is safe and secure.
